General Topology 2023-05-10 v1 Logic

Abstract

The main result of this paper is to show that for any compact space XX and any family {fα ⁣:α<2κ,fα ⁣:Xontoβκ}\{f_\alpha \colon \alpha< 2^\kappa, f_\alpha \colon X \stackrel{onto}{\longrightarrow} \beta \kappa\} of open mappings there exists a point xXx \in X such that for each α<2κ\alpha< 2^\kappa either fα(x)f_\alpha(x) belongs to κ\kappa or fα(x)f_\alpha(x) is a weak PκP_\kappa-point in κ\kappa^*, whenever κ\kappa is regular.
