Vacuum engineering with DCC

Abstract

Formation of a vacuum like domain of the strong-interaction chiral condensate misaligned with respect to the electroweak symmetry breaking arguably modifies the mass spectrum of electroweak gauge bosons and their interactions in that domain in an observable manner. In particular,photon acquires the mass mγ1/2fπsin2θWm_{\gamma}\sim{1/2}f_{\pi}\sin2\theta_{W}.
