Thermoelectric enhanced ZT regime calculated by Fermi integral method

Materials Science 2020-03-05 v2

Abstract

We report about detailed dimensionless figure of merit (ZTZT) calculated by using Fermi integral method (compared with Bi2_2Te3_3, CoSb3_3, and SrTiO3_3) for thermoelectric (TE) materials' design and its module application. Particularly, TE properties: electrical conductivity (small polaron: σ\sigma(mm*)), Seebeck coefficient (SS), thermal conductivity (κe\kappa_e), and ZTZT were calculated by using reduced energy (ζ\zeta=EE/kBTk_B T), as the functions of TT, and effective mass (mm*/mm). Enhancement of ZTZT was investigated by contour plots of TT, and mm*/mm versus ζ\zeta.
