The Isomorphism Problem for Higman-Thompson groups

Abstract

We prove that the Higman-Thompson groups Gn,r+G_{n,r}^+ and Gm,s+G_{m,s}^+ are isomorphic if and only if m=nm=n and \mboxgcd(n1,r)=\mboxgcd(n1,s)\mbox{gcd}(n-1,r)=\mbox{gcd}(n-1,s).
