q-Oscillators, q-Epsilon Tensor, q-Groups

High Energy Physics - Theory 2009-10-22 v1 Quantum Algebra

Abstract

Considering a multi-dimensional qq-oscillator invariant under the (non quantum) group U(n)U(n), we construct a qq-deformed Levi-Civita epsilon tensor from the inner product states. The invariance of this qq-epsilon tensor is shown to yield the quantum group SLq(n)SL_{q}(n) and establishes the relationship of the U(n)U(n) invariant qq-oscillator to quantum groups and quantum group related oscillators. Furthermore the qq-epsilon tensor provides the connection between SLq(n)SL_{q}(n) and the volume element of the quantum hyper plane.
