Abstract

In this paper, we find all the solutions of the Diophantine equation P+Pm+Pn=2aP_\ell + P_m +P_n=2^a, in nonnegative integer variables (n,m,,a)(n,m,\ell, a) where PkP_k is the kk-th term of the Pell sequence {Pn}n0\{P_n\}_{n\ge 0} given by P0=0P_0=0, P1=1P_1=1 and Pn+1=2Pn+Pn1P_{n+1}=2P_{n}+ P_{n-1} for all n1n\geq 1.
