Abstract

Let GG be a connected reductive algebraic group defined over a non-archimedean locally compact field FF of odd residue characteristic. Let θ\theta be an FF-rational involution of GG and HH be the reductive FF-group GθG^\theta. We describe the orbits of the symmetric subgroup HFH_F in the set of chambers of the reduced building of GG over FF.
