Maximum zeroth-order general Randi\'{c} index of orientations of cacti

General Mathematics 2022-05-23 v1

Abstract

The zeroth-order general Randi\'{c} index Ra+10R^{0}_{a+1} of an nn-vertices oriented graph DD is equal to the sum of (dui+)a+(duj)a(d^{+}_{u_i})^{a}+(d^{-}_{u_j})^{a} over all arcs uiuju_iu_j of DD, where we denote by dui+d^{+}_{u_i} the out-degree of the vertex uiu_i and dujd^{-}_{u_j} the in-degree of the vertex uju_j, aa is an arbitrary real number. In the paper, we determine the orientations of cacti with the maximum value of the zeroth-order general Randi\'{c} index for a1a\geq 1.
