Highest weight vectors in plethysms

Abstract

We realize the GLn(C)\mathrm{GL}_n(\mathbb{C})-modules Sk(Sm(Cn))S^k(S^m(\mathbb{C}^n)) and Λk(Sm(Cn))\Lambda^k(S^m(\mathbb{C}^n)) as spaces of polynomial functions on n×kn\times k matrices. In the case k=3k=3, we describe explicitly all the GLn(C)\mathrm{GL}_n(\mathbb{C})-highest weight vectors which occur in S3(Sm(Cn))S^3(S^m(\mathbb{C}^n)) and in Λ3(Sm(Cn))\Lambda^3(S^m(\mathbb{C}^n)) respectively.
