Happy Ending or Many Concurrent Lines

Combinatorics 2024-11-20 v3

Abstract

For each n2n \geq 2, l3l \geq 3, let ESL(l,n){ES}_L (l,n) be the minimum NN such that every family of NN-lines in the plane contains either ll concurrent lines or nn lines in convex position. In this papar, we give the upper and lower bounds for ESL(l,n)ES_L (l,n). This is one of the extensions of the line version of Erd\"{o}s-Szekeres convex polygon problem.
