Finiteness Theorem for Sp(4,Z)

Abstract

We consider Siegel upper half space of rank two H2{\cal H}^2 and different subgroups HSp(4,Z)H\subseteq {\bf Sp(4,Z)} of finite index. The purpose of this paper is to prove that the field of rational functions of H2/H{\cal H}^2/H has general type for all but the finite number of HH.
