We consider infinitely long electromagnetic wave guide filled with a ferrite. The wave guide has arbitrary but constant cross-section .WeshowthatMaxwellequationsareequivalenttotheSchro¨dingerequationforsingleelectroninthetwo−dimensionalquantumdotoftheformDwithaccountoftheRashbaspin−orbitinteraction.Thespin−orbitconstantisdeterminingbycomponentsofmagneticpermeabilityoftheferrite.Theuppercomponentofelectronspinorfunctioncorrespondstothez−thcomponentelectricfield,whilethedowncomponent\chi$ related to the z-th component of magnetic field by relation (30).
