Abstract
In this comment, I show that van Hemmen's classical spin-glass model can also account for processes such as inverse crystallization, where a ferromagnetic phase appears at higher temperatures than a glass state. The so far ignored fact is the temperature dependence of the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida interaction. This generalization may be relevant to other models.
