The $n$-adjacency graph for knots

Geometric Topology 2026-05-11 v2

Abstract

A knot KK is called nn-adjacent to a knot KK' if there is a set of nn crossing circles C\mathcal C in KK so that a generalized crossing change at any nonempty subset of crossings in C\mathcal C yields KK'. In this paper, the authors define a new graph Γn\Gamma_n to represent nn-adjacency relationships between knots. We prove several results about this new object.
