The fractional Riesz transform and an exponential potential

Analysis of PDEs 2012-10-10 v2 Classical Analysis and ODEs Metric Geometry

Abstract

In this paper we study the ss-dimensional Riesz transform of a finite measure μ\mu in Rd\mathbf{R}^d, with s(d1,d)s\in (d-1,d). We show that the boundedness of the Riesz transform of μ\mu implies that a nonlinear potential of exponential type is finite μ\mu-almost everywhere. It appears to be the first result of this type for s>1s>1.
