Stability of flat-core pinned p-elasticae

Analysis of PDEs 2025-08-15 v1 Differential Geometry

Abstract

We classify the stability of flat-core pp-elasticae in Rd\mathbf{R}^d subject to the pinned boundary condition. Together with previous work, this completes the classification of stable pinned pp-elasticae in Rd\mathbf{R}^d for all p(1,)p\in(1,\infty) and d2d\geq2.
