Refined Mass Estimate for Bilepton Gauge Boson

Abstract

Using the most recent experimental data on parameters of the standard electroweak theory, as well as renormalisation group equations with a boundary matching condition, we derive a refined and more accurate value for the mass of the doubly-charged bilepton (Y±±Y^{\pm\pm}) occurring in the spontaneous breaking of the gauge group SU(3)L×U(1)XSU(3)_L \times U(1)_X to the standard electroweak gauge group SU(2)L×U(1)YSU(2)_L \times U(1)_Y. Our result is M(Y±±)=(1.29±0.06)M(Y^{\pm\pm}) = (1.29 \pm 0.06) TeV.
