Rainbow Stackings of Random Edge-Colorings

Combinatorics 2024-05-24 v1

Abstract

A rainbow stacking of rr-edge-colorings χ1,,χm\chi_1, \ldots, \chi_m of the complete graph on nn vertices is a way of superimposing χ1,,χm\chi_1, \ldots, \chi_m so that no edges of the same color are superimposed on each other. We determine a sharp threshold for rr (as a function of mm and nn) governing the existence and nonexistence of rainbow stackings of random rr-edge-colorings χ1,,χm\chi_1,\ldots,\chi_m.
