Perturbative QCD Fragmentation Functions as a Phenomenological Model for Charm/Bottom Fragmentation

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology 2009-09-25 v1

Abstract

The perturbative QCD fragmentation functions can be applied phenomenologically as a model for charm and bottom quark fragmentation into heavy-light mesons. The predictions by this model on the observables PVP_V and z\langle z \rangle for DDD-D^* and BBB-B^* systems are compared with experimental data.
