Abstract

Let GG be a finite group, π(G)\pi(G) be the set of prime divisors dividing the order of GG and πe(G)\pi_e(G) (spectrum) denote the set of element orders of GG. We define wo(G)w_o(G) = π(G)|\pi(G)| the width of order of GG and ws(G)w_s(G) = max{π(k)kπe(G)}\{|{\pi}(k)| | k \in \pi_e(G)\} the width of spectrum of GG. In this paper, we discuss the cases of wo(G)w_o(G) and ws(G)w_s(G) are small, prove several new results and give a survey about the two widths of groups.
