Generalized Equivariant Cohomology and Stratifications

Abstract

For TT a compact torus and ETE_T^* a generalized TT-equivariant cohomology theory, we provide a systematic framework for computing ETE_T^* in the context of equivariantly stratified smooth complex projective varieties. This allows us to explicitly compute ET(X)E_T^*(X) as an ET(pt)E_T^*(\text{pt})-module when XX is a direct limit of smooth complex projective TCT_{\mathbb{C}}-varieties with finitely many TT-fixed points and ETE_T^* is one of HT(;Z)H_T^*(\cdot;\mathbb{Z}), KTK_T^*, and MUTMU_T^*. We perform this computation on the affine Grassmannian of a complex semisimple group.
