Abstract

For a coarse space (X,E)(X, \mathcal{E}), XX^\sharp denotes the set of all unbounded ultrafilters on XX endowed with the parallelity relation: pqp||q if there exists EEE \in \mathcal{E} such that E[P]q E[P]\in q for each PpP\in p. If (X,E)(X, \mathcal{E}) is finitary then there exists a group GG of permutations of XX such that the coarse structure E\mathcal{E} has the base {{(x,gx):xX\{\{ (x,gx): x\in X, gF}:F[G]<ω, idF}.g\in F\}: F\in [G]^{<\omega}, \ id \in F \}. We survey and analyze interplays between (X,E)(X, \mathcal{E}), XX^\sharp and the dynamical system (G,X)(G, X^\sharp).
