Almost-bipartite distance-regular graphs with the $Q$-polynomial property

Abstract

Let GG denote a QQ-polynomial distance-regular graph with diameter DD at least 4. Assume that the intersection numbers of GG satisfy ai=0a_i=0 for 0iD10 \leq i \leq D-1 and aD0a_D\neq 0. We show that GG is a polygon, a folded cube, or an Odd graph.
