A Zariski Topology for Modules

Rings and Algebras 2010-07-20 v1 Commutative Algebra

Abstract

Given a duo module MM over an associative (not necessarily commutative) ring R,R, a Zariski topology is defined on the spectrum Specfp(M)\mathrm{Spec}^{\mathrm{fp}}(M) of {\it fully prime} RR-submodules of MM. We investigate, in particular, the interplay between the properties of this space and the algebraic properties of the module under consideration.
