A Friedlander-Suslin theorem over a noetherian base ring

Abstract

Let kk be a noetherian commutative ring and let GG be a finite flat group scheme over kk. Let GG act rationally on a finitely generated commutative kk-algebra AA. We show that the cohomology algebra H(G,A)H^*(G,A) is a finitely generated kk-algebra. This unifies some earlier results.
