A Bernstein type theorem for minimal hypersurfaces via Gauss maps

Differential Geometry 2022-05-17 v3

Abstract

Let MM be an nn-dimensional smooth oriented complete embedded minimal hypersurface in Rn+1\mathbb{R}^{n+1} with Euclidean volume growth. We show that if the image under the Gauss map of MM avoids some neighborhood of a half-equator, then MM must be an affine hyperplane.
