We complete the classification of hyperelliptic threefolds, describing in an elementary way the hyperelliptic threefolds with group $D_4$. These are algebraic and form an irreducible 2-dimensional family. Our paper is fully self-contained.

This article focuses on the dynamics of the different tridimensional principal slices of the multicomplex Multibrot sets. First, we define an equivalence relation between those slices. Then, we characterize them in order to establish…

We study constructions of contact forms on closed manifolds. A notion of strong symplectic fold structure is defined and we prove that there is a contact form on $M \x X$ provided that $M$ admits such a structure and $X$ is contact. This…

We find and propose an explanation for a large variety of modularity-related symmetries in problems of 3-manifold topology and physics of 3d $\mathcal{N}=2$ theories where such structures a priori are not manifest. These modular structures…

We provide a description of W_3 transformations in terms of deformations of convex curves in two dimensional Euclidean space. This geometrical interpretation sheds some light on the nature of finite W_3-morphisms. We also comment on how…

Two conjectures relating the Kodaira dimension of a smooth projective variety and existence of number of nowhere vanishing 1-forms on the variety are proposed and verified in dimension 3.

This note is concerned in so called harmonic complex structures introduced by the author previously. I will recall some previous results and emphasize the motivation: Provide an attempt to a fundamental problem in geometry--determining the…

This is the third in a series of papers constructing hyperbolic structures on all Haken three-manifolds. This portion deals with the mixed case of the deformation space for manifolds with incompressible boundary that are not acylindrical,…

We study a notion of strict pseudoconvexity in the context of topologically (often unsmoothably) embedded 3-manifolds in complex surfaces. Topologically pseudoconvex (TPC) 3-manifolds behave similarly to their smooth analogues, cutting out…

We study the six-dimensional solvmanifolds that admit complex structures of splitting type classifying the underlying solvable Lie algebras. In particular, many complex structures of this type exist on the Nakamura manifold $X$, and they…

For a differential form on a manifold, having constant components in suitable local coordinates trivially implies being parallel relative to a torsion-free connection, and the converse implication is known to be true for $p$-forms in…
