We prove a bosonic formula for the generating function of level-restricted paths for the infinite families of affine Kac-Moody algebras. In affine type A this yields an expression for the level-restricted generalized Kostka polynomials.

It is shown that the linearized fields of causal variational principles give rise to linear bosonic quantum field theories. The properties of these field theories are studied and compared with the axioms of local quantum physics.…

The problem of integer partitions is addressed using the microcanonical approach which is based on the analogy between this problem in the number theory and the calculation of microstates of a many-boson system. For ordinary…

Linear differential equations of arbitrary order with polynomial coefficients are considered. Specifically, necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of polynomial solutions of a given degree are obtained for these equations. An…

Nice formulae for plane partitions with bounded size of parts (or boxed plane partitions), which generalize the norm-trace generating function by Stanley and the trace generating function by Gansner, are exhibited. The derivation of the…

Recent works have sought to realize certain families of orthogonal, symmetric polynomials as partition functions of well-chosen classes of solvable lattice models. Many of these use Boltzmann weights arising from the trigonometric…

Fourier expansion of the integrand in the path integral formula for the partition function of quantum systems leads to a deterministic expression which, though still quite complex, is easier to process than the original functional integral.…
