I present a concise review of where we stand in particle physics today. First, I will discuss QCD, then the electroweak sector and finally the motivations and the avenues for new physics beyond the Standard Model.
Some general comments are made on the evolution of this series of workshops and on some features of this particular Workshop without attempting to summarize all the talks presented.
I offer brief observations on matters discussed at the XIV International Conference on Hadron Spectroscopy and explore prospects for hadron physics.
