Let $T$ be an algebraic torus defined over a global field $K$. For any $K$-torsor $X$ under $T$, we relate the Brauer group of $X$ to the ad\'{e}le class group of $T$ as well as to the Shafarevich Tate group of $T$.

We study the algebraic Brauer classes on open del Pezzo surfaces of degree $4$. I.e., on the complements of geometrically irreducible hyperplane sections of del Pezzo surfaces of degree $4$. We show that the $2$-torsion part is generated by…

In this paper we introduce a method to obtain algebraic information using arithmetic one in the study of tori and their principal homogeneous spaces. In particular, using some results of the authors with Tingyu Lee, we determine the…

In this paper, we determine the motive of the classifying torsor of an algebraic torus. As a result, we give an exact sequence describing the degree 4 cohomological invariants of algebraic tori. Using results by Blinstein and Merkurjev,…

We give explicit and elementary constructions of the categorical extensions of a torus by the circle and discuss an application to loop group extensions. Examples include maximal tori of simple and simply connected compact Lie groups and…

We show that Brauer classes of a locally solvable degree 4 del Pezzo surface X are vertical for some projection away from a plane f: X ---> P^1, i.e., that every Brauer class is obtained by pullback from an element of Br k(P^1). As a…

We construct a faithful categorical representation of an infinite Temperley-Lieb algebra on the periplectic analogue of Deligne's category. We use the corresponding combinatorics to classify thick tensor ideals in this periplectic Deligne…

We classify up to conjugacy the subgroups of certain types in the full, in the affine, and in the special affine Cremona groups. We prove that the normalizers of these subgroups are algebraic. As an application, we obtain new results in the…

Let $U$ be a smooth and connected curve over an algebraically closed field of positive characteristic, with smooth compactification $X$. We generalize classical Geometric Class Field theory to provide a classification of fppf $G$-torsors…

We prove categorical Torelli theorems for four families of Fano double covers with Picard rank greater than 1. Among these is the family of Verra fourfolds. The other three families manifest as double covers of Fano threefolds, branched in…
