We estimate in Lp the maximal Riesz transform in terms of the Riesz transform itself for p greater than 1. In the limiting case p=1 the weak L1 inequality is shown to fail. Surprisingly, the weak L1 inequality for the maximal Beurling…

It is known that $|\zeta(1+ it)|\ll (\log t)^{2/3}$. This paper provides a new explicit estimate, viz.\ $|\zeta(1+ it)|\leq 3/4 \log t$, for $t\geq 3$. This gives the best upper bound on $|\zeta(1+ it)|$ for $t\leq 10^{2\cdot 10^{5}}$.

In this work we establish a weighted $L^2-L^2$ estimate for inhomogeneous wave equation in 3-D, by introducing a Morawetz multiplier with weight of power $s(1<s<2)$, and then integrating on the light cones and $t$ slice. With this weighted…

We provide quantitative weighted estimates for the $L^p(w)$ norm of a maximal operator associated to cube skeletons in $\mathbb{R}^n$. The method of proof differs from the usual in the area of weighted inequalities since there are no…

In this note we deal with some inequalities for the tangent function that are valid for $x$ in $(-\pi/2,\pi/2)$. These inequalities are optimal in the sense that the best values of the exponents involved are obtained.
