I review the equations of Conformal Cyclic Cosmology given by Penrose. I suggest a slight modification to Penrose's prescription and show how this works out for FRW cosmologies and for Class A Bianchi cosmologies.

We display a simple solution to the Penrose CCC scenario. For this solution we chose for the late stages of the previous aeon a FRW, k=0, universe with a both a cosmological constant and radiation (no mass) while for the early stages of the…

According to conformal cyclic cosmology (CCC), the currently conventional description of the entire history of the universe (but without an initial inflationary phase) provides but one cosmic aeon of an unending sequence of such aeons,…

We obtain a constraint on cosmological scalars for the FRW metric with a pure radiation fluid source and positive cosmological constant. We demonstrate that this constraint is conformally invariant in the context of Penrose's Conformal…

We connect a possible solution for the ``cosmological constant problem'' to the existence of a (postulated) conformal fixed point in a fundamental theory. The resulting cosmology leads to quintessence, where the present acceleration of the…

We analyse spacetimes with a conformal scalar field source, a cosmological constant and a quartic self-interaction term for the scalar field. We also consider additional matter contents in the form of Maxwell and Yang-Mills fields or…

The Cosmic Censorship Conjecture (CCC) states that every singularity (except the cosmological one) must appear "dressed" in the universe. This statement was introduced by Roger Penrose (Penrose, 1969), meaning that every singularity (except…

We investigate a conformal invariant gravitational model which is taken to hold at pre-inflationary era. The conformal invariance allows to make a dynamical distinction between the two unit systems (or conformal frames) usually used in…

A cosmological theory that predicts a late-time accelerated attractor with a constant dark matter to dark energy ratio can be said to solve the Coincidence Problem. Such cosmologies are naturally generated in the context of non-standard…

The Cosmological Principle (CP) -- the notion that the Universe is spatially isotropic and homogeneous on large scales -- underlies a century of progress in cosmology. It is conventionally formulated through the…

It has been suggested that the cosmic history might repeat in cycles, with an infinite series of similar aeons in the past and the future. Here, we instead propose that the cosmic history repeats itself exactly, constructing a universe on a…

Conformal cyclic cosmology (CCC) posits the existence of an aeon preceding our Big Bang 'B', whose conformal infinity 'I' is identified, conformally, with 'B', now regarded as a spacelike 3-surface. Black-hole encounters, within bound…

We extend the usual gravitational action principle by promoting the bare cosmological constant (CC) from a parameter to a field which can take many possible values. Variation leads to a new integral constraint equation which determines the…
