$c$-realcompact spaces are introduced by Karamzadeh and Keshtkar in Quaest. Math. 41(8), 2018, 1135-1167. We offer a characterization of these spaces $X$ via $c$-stable family of closed sets in $X$ by showing that $X$ is $c$-realcompact if…

We investigate closed copies of~$\mathbb{N}$ in powers of~$\mathbb{R}$ with respect to $C^*$- and $C$-embedding. We show that $\mathbb{R}^{\omega_1}$ contains closed copies of~$\mathbb{N}$ that are not $C^*$-embedded.

We give an example of a computably enumerable closed subset of [0,1] that is not homeomorphic to any computably compact space. This answers a question of Koh, Melnikov and Ng.

An open (resp., closed) subset A of a topological space (X, T ) is called C-open (resp., C-closed) set if cl(A) \ A (resp., A \ int(A)) is a countable set. This paper aims to present the concept of C-open and C-closed sets. We first…

In this brief note, we provide an example of non complete locally convex space $E$ with a $\sigma(E, E^*)$ closed bounded subset $C\subset E$, which is not $\sigma(E, E^*)$-compact, even if every $\varphi\in E^*$ attains its sup over $C$.

This paper characterizes which subsets of C^n can be the set of positions of n points on a linkage in the complex plane C. For example, assuming compactness they are just compact semialgebraic sets. Noncompact configuration spaces are…

A reduction of properties (invariants) of compact sets of real numbers to properties of countable orders is presented here. Discussed here is also an embedding property of some compact sets that are called t$\mathbb R$-sets. Among others,…

Let X be a path connected, compact metric space and let A be a unital separable simple nuclear Z-stable real rank zero C*-algebra. We classify all the unital *-embeddings (up to approximate unitary equivalence) of C(X) into A. Specifically,…

This paper examines various kinds of subspaces of the non-commutative spaces that are modelled on quasi-projective commutative schemes. It is shown how intersections and unions of weakly closed subspaces, closed subspaces, their weakly open…

Answering a question raised by V. V. Tkachuk, we present several examples of $\sigma$-compact spaces, some only consistent and some in ZFC, that are not countably tight but in which the closure of any discrete subset is countably tight. In…

We prove that the set of closed orbits in a real reductive representation contains a subset which is open with respect to the real Zariski topology if it has non-empty interior. In particular the set of closed orbits is dense.

We show that the product of any number of sequentially pseudocompact topological spaces is still sequentially pseudocompact. The definition of sequential pseudocompactness can be given in (at least) two ways: we show their equivalence. Some…
