In this paper, for the $n$-dimensional Euclidean space $\Bbb R^n$ with the usual metric and $n\geq2$, we show that the sublinear Higson corona of $\Bbb R^n$ is not locally connected at any point and is mutually aposyndetic.

We completely classify the extreme tracial states onthe cores of the C*-algebras associated with self-similar maps on compact metric spaces. We present a complete list of them. The extreme tracial states are the union of the discrete type…

Some projective wonderful models for the complement of a toric arrangement in a n-dimensional algebraic torus T were constructed in [3]. In this paper we describe their integer cohomology rings by generators and relations.

This paper is a survey of our work based on the stratified Morse theory of Goresky and MacPherson. First we discuss the Morse theory of Euclidean space stratified by an arrangement. This is used to show that the complement of a complex…

Let X be a (connected and reduced) complex space. A q-collar of X is a bounded domain whose boundary is a union of a strongly q-pseudoconvex, a strongly q-pseudoncave and two flat (i.e. locally zero sets of pluriharmonic functions)…

We axiomatise the dagger category of complex Hilbert spaces and bounded linear maps, using exclusively purely categorical conditions. Our axioms are chosen with the aim of an easy interpretability: two of them describe the composition of…

Given a finite modular tensor category, we associate with each compact surface with boundary a cochain complex in such a way that the mapping class group of the surface acts projectively on its cohomology groups. In degree zero, this action…

We prove that two homogeneous ultra-metric spaces $X,Y$ are coarsely equivalent if and only if $\mathrm{Ent}^\sharp(X)=\mathrm{Ent}^\sharp(Y)$ where $\mathrm{Ent}^\sharp(X)$ is the so-called sharp entropy of $X$. This classification implies…

Among plenty of applications, low-dimensional homogeneous spaces appear in cosmological models as both, classical factor spaces of multidimensional geometry and minisuperspaces in canonical quantization. Here a new tool to restrict their…
