We apply Ramsey theoretic tools to show that there is a family of graphs which have tree-chromatic number at most~$2$ while the path-chromatic number is unbounded. This resolves a problem posed by Seymour.

For a partially ordered set $(A, \le)$, let $G_A$ be the simple, undirected graph with vertex set $A$ such that two vertices $a \neq b\in A$ are adjacent if either $a \le b$ or $b \le a$. We call $G_A$ the \emph{partial order graph} or…

In this paper, we investigate the set of sizes of induced subgraphs of bipartite graphs. We introduce the definition of $C$-$Bipartite$-$Ramsey$ graphs, which is closely related to Ramsey graphs and prove that in `most' cases, these graphs…

The ordered Ramsey number of a graph $G^<$ with a linearly ordered vertex set is the smallest positive integer $N$ such that any two-coloring of the edges of the ordered complete graph on $N$ vertices contains a monochromatic copy of $G^<$…

Using cyclic graphs I give new lower bounds for two color and multicolor Ramsey numbers: R(4,16)>163, R(5,11)>170, R(5,12)>190, R(5,13)>212, R(5,14)>238, R(3,3,9)>117, R(3,3,10)>141 and R(3,3,11)>157. Improving the previous best known…

An infinite graph is highly connected if the complement of any subgraph of smaller size is connected. We consider weaker versions of Ramsey's Theorem asserting that in any coloring of the edges of a complete graph there exist large highly…

The Ramsey number r(H) of a graph H is the smallest number n such that, in any two-colouring of the edges of K_n, there is a monochromatic copy of H. We study the Ramsey number of graphs H with t vertices and density \r, proving that r(H)…

We obtain several new upper bounds of the odd graceful chromatic number of a graph $G$, which must be bipartite. Some of our bounds depend only on the number of the vertices of $G$ or the chromatic number of some graphs related to the…
