We introduce a new intrinsic metric in subdomains of a metric space and give upper and lower bounds for it in terms of well-known metrics. We also prove distortion results for this metric under quasiregular maps.

This paper surveys and develops links between polynomial invariants of finite groups, factorization theory of Krull domains, and product-one sequences over finite groups. The goal is to gain a better understanding of the multiplicative…

The t-class semigroup of an integral domain is the semigroup of fractional t-ideals modulo its subsemigroup of nonzero principal ideals with the operation induced by ideal t-multiplication. This paper investigates ring-theoretic properties…

A version of the Krull Intersection Theorem states that for Noetherian domains, the Krull intersection $ki(I)$ of every proper ideal $I$ is trivial; that is $$ ki(I):=\displaystyle\bigcap_{n=1}^\infty I^n = \{0\}. $$ We investigate the…

We specialise a recently introduced notion of generalised dinaturality for functors $T : (\mathcal{C}^\text{op})^p \times \mathcal{C}^q \to \mathcal{D}$ to the case where the domain (resp., codomain) is constant, obtaining notions of ends…

We investigate the class of quasitrivial semigroups and provide various characterizations of the subclass of quasitrivial and commutative semigroups as well as the subclass of quasitrivial and order-preserving semigroups. We also determine…

In this paper we study probabilistic aspects such as subgroup commutativity degree and cyclic subgroup commutativity degree of the (generalized) dicyclic groups. We find explicit formulas for these concepts and we provide another example of…

For the classical mind, quantum mechanics is boggling enough; nevertheless more bizarre behavior could be imagined, thereby concentrating on propositional structures (empirical logics) that transcend the quantum domain. One can also…

Quantization of the nonlinear supersymmetry faces a problem of a quantum anomaly. For some classes of superpotentials, the integrals of motion admit the corrections guaranteeing the preservation of the nonlinear supersymmetry at the quantum…

C-domains are defined via class semigroups, and every C-domain is a Mori domain with nonzero conductor whose complete integral closure is a Krull domain with finite class group. In order to extend the concept of C-domains to rings with zero…
