We prove an extension of the well-known combinatorial-topological lemma of E. Sperner to the case of infinite-dimensional cubes. It is obtained as a corollary to an infinitary extension of the Lebesgue Covering Dimension Theorem.

The global additive and multiplicative properties of Laplace type operators acting on irreducible rank 1 symmetric spaces are considered. The explicit form of the zeta function on product spaces and of the multiplicative anomaly is derived.

We extend the subrepresentation formula $$ |f(x)|\le c_n\,I_1(|\nabla f|)(x) $$ in several ways. First, we consider more general $A_1$-potential operators on the right-hand side and prove local and global pointwise inequalities for these…

Weighted Fekete points are defined as those that maximize the weighted version of the Vandermonde determinant over a fixed set. They can also be viewed as the equilibrium distribution of the unit discrete charges in an external…

We provide a version of the celebrated theorem of Koml\'os in which, rather then random quantities, a sequence of finitely additive measures is considered. We obtain a form of the subsequence principle and some applications.

We will see how to define the metric $\beta$, which turns the topological space of continuous functions whose domains are open subsets of a locally compact and second countable space $X$ to values in a polish space $Y$, called…

In a broad sense, positivstellens\"atze are results about representations of polynomials which are strictly positive on a given set. We give constructive and, to a large extent, elementary proofs of some known positivstellens\"atze for…

The notion of relative cuspidality for distinguished representations attached to $p$-adic symmetric spaces is introduced. A characterization of relative cuspidality in terms of Jacquet modules is given and a generalization of Jacquet's…

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a new comprehensive subclass of analytic close-to-convex functions and derive Fekete-Szeg\"o inequalities for functions belonging to this new class by using a different way. Various known…

We study projective functions. We prove that projective functions generalise lower and upper-semianalytic ones while being stable by composition and difference. We show that the class of projective functions is closed under sums,…

Submodularity is a fundamental phenomenon in combinatorial optimization. Submodular functions occur in a variety of combinatorial settings such as coverage problems, cut problems, welfare maximization, and many more. Therefore, a lot of…
