We classify terminal simplicial reflexive d-polytopes with 3d-1 vertices. They turn out to be smooth Fano d-polytopes. When d is even there is 1 such polytope up to isomorphism, while there are 2 when d is uneven.

In this paper we define and study a ring associated to a graph that we call the cographic toric face ring, or simply the cographic ring. The cographic ring is the toric face ring defined by the following equivalent combinatorial structures…

We show that chiral symmetry can be broken spontaneously in one-component systems with isotropic interactions, i.e. many-particle systems having maximal a priori symmetry. This is achieved by designing isotropic potentials that lead to…

We show that every non-degenerate regular polytope can be used to construct a thin, residually-connected, chamber-transitive incidence geometry, i.e. a regular hypertope, with a tail-triangle Coxeter diagram. We discuss several interesting…

We suggest that electromagnetic chirality, generally displayed by 3D or 2D complex chiral structures, can occur in 1D patterned composites whose components are achiral. This feature is highly unexpected in a 1D system which is geometrically…

Supersymmetry is studied in 2+1 dimensions. In addition to the multiplets corresponding to those in 3+1 dimensions the Clifford algebra allows an extra set. When the extra chiral multiplet is included, formulating supersymmetric QED3 in the…

General features of microscopic and macroscopic chiral structures can be discussed under the standard of orthogonal group theory. Configuration space of systems, not physical space, is taken into account. This change of perspective allows…

Let $BQP(n)$ be a boolean quadric polytope, $LOP(m)$ be a linear ordering polytope. It is shown that $BQP(n)$ is linearly isomorphic to a face of $LOP(2n)$.

This article announces the completion of the classification of rank 4 locally projective polytopes and their quotients. There are seventeen universal locally projective polytopes (nine nondegenerate). Amongst their 441 quotients are a…

Chiral phonons were initially proposed and further verified experimentally in two-dimensional (2D) hexagonal crystal lattices. Many intriguing features brought about by chiral phonons are attributed to the pseudo-angular momenta which are…

The volume of a cyclic polytope can be obtained by forming an iterated integral along a suitable piecewise linear path running through its edges. Different choices of such a path are related by the action of a subgroup of the combinatorial…

Polypols are natural generalizations of polytopes, with boundaries given by nonlinear algebraic hypersurfaces. We describe polypols in the plane and in 3-space that admit a unique adjoint hypersurface and study them from an…

In the article, a series of neigbourly polyhedra is constructed. They have $N=2d+4$ vertices and are embedded in $\mathbb R^{2d}$. Their (affine) Gale diagrams in $\mathbb R^2$ have $d+3$ black points that form a convex polygon. These Gale…
