We show how quiver representations and their invariant theory natu- rally arise in the study of some moduli spaces parametrizing bundles dened on an algebraic curve, and how they lead to ne results regarding the geometry of these spaces.
Symplectic 4-manifolds with Kodaira dimension zero can be viewed as symplectic Calabi-Yau surfaces. We are able to completely determine their Betti numbers by proving two general results on quaternionic vector bundles.
We analyze the local structure of the moduli space of semi-stable bundles on a curve. In particular, a complete description of the local structure is given in the rank 2 case. We obtain as a corollary of this analysis new results about the…
In this paper we establish some inequalities concerning the $k$-Ricci curvature of a slant submanifold in a quaternionic space form. We also obtain obstructions to the existence of quaternionic slant immersions in quaternionic space forms…
We describe a satisfactory theory of degeneration of quadratic forms in three variables in the most general setting possible: the quadratic forms are defined on rank 3 vector bundles over an arbitrary scheme and could have values in…
We present a new simple proof of the fact that certain group manifolds as well as certain homogeneous spaces G/H of dimension 4n admit a quaternionic triple of integrable complex structures that are covariantly constant with respect to the…
Spinor structure is understood as a totality of tensor products of biquaternion algebras, and the each tensor product is associated with an irreducible representation of the Lorentz group. A so-defined algebraic structure allows one to…
The existing classification of homogeneous quaternionic spaces is not complete. We study these spaces in the context of certain $N=2$ supergravity theories, where dimensional reduction induces a mapping between {\em special} real, K\"ahler…
We show that, on a 4-manifold M endowed with a spin^c structure induced by an almost-complex structure, a self-dual (= positive) spinor field \phi \in \Gamma(W^+) is the same as a bundle morphism \phi: TM \to TM acting on the fiber by…
Motivated by deformation quantization, we consider in this paper $^*$-algebras $\mathcal A$ over rings $\ring C = \ring{R}(i)$, where $\ring R$ is an ordered ring and $i^2 = -1$, and study the deformation theory of projective modules over…
This is a note in which we first review symmetries of moduli spaces of stable meromorphic connections on trivial vector bundles over the Riemann sphere, and next discuss symmetries of their integrable deformations as an application. In the…
"Quaternionic" vector bundles are the objects which describe the topological phases of quantum systems subjected to an odd time-reversal symmetry (class AII). In this work we prove that the FKMM invariant provides the correct fundamental…
Using Quillen-Lurie deformation theory formalism we develop an obstruction theory for studying the stable $\infty$-category of modules over a given geometric $\infty$-stack. The obstruction theory studies the problem of lifting compact…
We study the moduli space of quaternionic Kaehler structures on a compact manifold of dimension 4n (n>2) from a point of view of Riemannian geometry, not twistor theory. Then we obtain a rigidity theorem for quaternionic Kaehler structures…
A conic bundle or quadric bundle in characteristic 2 can have generic fiber which is nowhere smooth over the function field of the base variety. In that case, the generic fiber is called a quasilinear quadric. We solve some of the main…
Extending the method of the paper [FS3] we prove three structure theorems for vector valued modular forms, where two correspond to 4-dimensional cases (two hermitian modular groups, one belonging to the field of Eisenstein numbers, the…
We construct triples of commuting real structures on the moduli space of Higgs bundles, whose fixed loci are branes of type (B, A, A), (A, B, A) and (A, A, B). We study the real points through the associated spectral data and describe the…
We characterise, in the setting of the Kodaira-Spencer deformation theory, the twistor spaces of (co-)CR quaternionic manifolds. As an application, we prove that, locally, the leaf space of any nowhere zero quaternionic vector field on a…
We present the first example of a Kahler potential for heterotic M-theory which includes gauge bundle moduli. These moduli describe the background gauge field configurations living on the orbifold fixed planes. We concentrate on the bundle…
We consider the class of algebras of rank 4 equipped with a standard involution over an arbitrary base ring. In particular, we characterize quaternion rings, those algebras defined by the construction of the even Clifford algebra.
