We generalize the proof of the Farrell-Jones conjecture for CAT(0)-groups to a larger class of groups in particular also containing all hyperbolic groups. This way we give a unified proof for both classes of groups.

We formulate and prove a version of the Segal Conjecture for infinite groups. For finite groups it reduces to the original version. The condition that G is finite is replaced in our setting by the assumption that there exists a finite model…

We generalize a result of Paulin on the Gromov boundary of hyperbolic groups to the Morse boundary of proper, maximal hierarchically hyperbolic spaces admitting cocompact group actions by isometries. Namely we show that if the Morse…

In this paper we study hyperbolic groups acting on CAT(0) cube complexes. The first main result (Theorem A) is a structural result about the Sageev construction, in which we relate quasi-convexity of hyperplane stabilizers with…

We prove an equivariant version of the fact that word-hyperbolic groups have finite asymptotic dimension. This is important in connection with our forthcoming proof of the Farrell-Jones conjecture in algebraic K-theory for every…

We study a group which is hyperbolic relative to a finite family of infinite subgroups. We show that the group satisfies the coarse Baum-Connes conjecture if each subgroup belonging to the family satisfies the coarse Baum-Connes conjecture…

We construct a strongly bolic metric for a certain class of relatively hyperbolic groups, which includes those with CAT(0) parabolics and virtually abelian parabolics. If we further assume that the parabolics satisfy (RD), applying a…

We give new examples of hyperbolic and relatively hyperbolic groups of cohomological dimension $d$ for all $d\geq 4$. These examples result from applying CAT$(0)$/CAT$(-1)$ filling constructions (based on singular doubly warped products) to…

We prove that many relatively hyperbolic groups obtained by relative strict hyperbolization admit a cocompact action on a CAT(0) cubical complex. Under suitable assumptions on the peripheral subgroups, these groups are residually finite and…

Long and thin covers of flow spaces are important ingredients in the proof of the Farrell--Jones conjecture for certain classes of groups, like hyperbolic and CAT(0)-groups. In this paper we provide an alternative construction of such…
