We show that strictly convex surfaces expanding by the inverse Gauss curvature flow converge to infinity in finite time. After appropriate rescaling, they converge to spheres. We describe the algorithm to find our main test function.

In this note, we survey recent advances in the study of dynamical properties of the space of surfaces with constant curvature in three-dimensional manifolds of negative sectional curvature. We interpret this space as a two-dimensional…

We investigate geometric properties of surfaces given by certain formulae. In particular, we calculate the singular curvature and the limiting normal curvature of such surfaces along the set of singular points consisting of singular points…

In the previous paper, we established an elementary bound for numbers of points of surfaces in the projective $3$-space over ${\Bbb F}_q$. In this paper, we give the complete list of surfaces that attain the elementary bound. Precisely…

The numbers of $\mathbb{F}_q$-points of nonsingular hypersurfaces of a fixed degree in an odd-dimensional projective space are investigated, and an upper bound for them is given. Also we give the complete list of nonsingular hypersurfaces…

We propose a definition of volume for stationary spacetimes. The proposed volume is independent of the choice of stationary time-slicing, and applies even though the Killing vector may not be globally timelike. Moreover, it is constant in…
