When is tight closure determined by the test ideal?

Commutative Algebra 2008-09-12 v1

Abstract

We characterize the rings in which the equality (τI:τ)=I(\tau I:\tau)= I^* holds for every ideal IRI \subset R. Under certain assumptions, these rings must be either weakly F-regular or one-dimensional.
