When a spherical body of constant diameter is of constant width?

Metric Geometry 2019-05-17 v1

Abstract

{\bf Abstract.} Let DD be a convex body of diameter δ\delta, where 0<δ<π20 < \delta < \frac{\pi}{2}, on the dd-dimensional sphere. We prove that DD is of constant diameter δ\delta if and only if it is of constant width δ\delta in the following two cases. The first case is when DD is smooth. The second case is when d=2d=2.
