Weight Distribution of A p-ary Cyclic Code

Abstract

For an odd prime pp and two positive integers n3n\geq 3 and kk with ngcd(n,k)\frac{n}{{\rm gcd}(n,k)} being odd, the paper determines the weight distribution of a pp-ary cyclic code C\mathcal{C} over Fp\mathbb{F}_{p} with nonzeros α1\alpha^{-1}, α(pk+1)\alpha^{-(p^k+1)} and α(p3k+1)\alpha^{-(p^{3k}+1)}, where α\alpha is a primitive element of Fpn\mathbb{F}_{p^n}
