Weakly $r$-clean rings and weakly $\star$-clean rings

Abstract

Motivated by the concept of weakly clean rings, we introduce the concept of weakly rr-clean rings. We define an element xx of a ring RR as weakly rr-clean if it can be expressed as x=r+ex=r+e or x=rex=r-e where ee is an idempotent and rr is a regular element of RR. If all the elements of RR are weakly rr-clean then RR is called a weakly rr-clean ring. We discuss some of its properties in this article. Also we generalise this concept of weakly rr-clean ring to weakly g(x)g(x)-rr-clean ring, where g(x)C(R)[x]g(x) \in C(R)[x] and C(R)C(R) is the centre of the ring RR. Finally we introduce the concept of weakly \star-clean and \star-rr-clean ring and discuss some of their properties.
