Vector Meson Photoproduction with a Linearly Polarized Beam

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology 2018-05-16 v1

Abstract

We propose a model based on Regge theory to describe photoproduction of light vector mesons. We fit the SLAC data and make predictions for the energy and momentum transfer dependence of the spin-density matrix elements in photoproduction of ω\omega, ρ0\rho^0 and ϕ\phi mesons at Eγ8.5E_\gamma \sim 8.5 GeV, which are soon to be measured at Jefferson Lab.
