Total preprojective algebras

Abstract

We introduce total preprojective algebras Ψ\Psi of path algebras of Dynkin quivers kQkQ, and prove that they are isomorphic to 22-Auslander algebras of preprojective algebras Π\Pi of kQkQ. In particular, Ψ\Psi has global dimension 33 and dominant dimension 33. We also describe Ψ\Psi as a tensor algebra of a certain explicit bimodule over the Auslander algebra of kQkQ. As an application, we give a presentation of Ψ\Psi by explicit quivers with relations. More generally, we introduce total (d+1)(d+1)-preprojective algebras of dd-representation finite algebras, and give all the corresponding results.
