Abstract

Let D3D\geq 3 denote an integer. For any xF2Dx\in \mathbb F_2^D let w(x)w(x) denote the Hamming weight of xx. Let XX denote the subspace of F2D\mathbb F_2^D consisting of all xF2Dx\in \mathbb F_2^D with even w(x)w(x). The DD-dimensional halved cube 12H(D,2)\frac{1}{2}H(D,2) is a finite simple connected graph with vertex set XX and x,yXx,y\in X are adjacent if and only if w(xy)=2w(x-y)=2. Fix a vertex xXx\in X. The Terwilliger algebra T=T(x)\mathcal T=\mathcal T(x) of 12H(D,2)\frac{1}{2}H(D,2) with respect to xx is the subalgebra of MatX(C){\rm Mat}_X(\mathbb C) generated by the adjacency matrix AA and the dual adjacency matrix A=A(x)A^*=A^*(x) where AA^* is a diagonal matrix with Ayy=D2w(xy)for all yX. A^*_{yy}=D-2w(x-y) \qquad \hbox{for all $y\in X$}. In this paper we decompose the standard T\mathcal T-module into a direct sum of irreducible T\mathcal T-modules.
