The one-jettiness distribution contains super-super-leading logarithms

Abstract

We show that one-jettiness (τ1\tau_1) in colour-singlet plus jet production suffers from super-leading logarithms starting at order αs4ln(1/τ1)6\alpha_{\mathrm s}^4 \ln(1/\tau_1)^6 relative to the Born level. This is one logarithm more dominant than any previously identified super-leading logarithms. The extra logarithm is not associated with additional poles, and is therefore consistent with the factorization of universal parton distribution functions at scale τ1Q\tau_1 Q, where QQ is the hard scale.
