Abstract
In this paper, we establish the key properties of the motivic and \'etale Becker-Gottlieb transfer including compatibility with \'etale and Betti realization and show how to obtain various splittings using the transfer.

We have now split the discussion into two papers, with only the construction of the transfer appearing in the updated version of the above mentioned paper. The current paper discusses the remaining aspects of the transfer in more detail
